Experimental software · Private alpha
Alpha terms
These terms govern participation in the free, invite-only ChronoZero alpha operated by Andreas Dersch from Switzerland. Anyone may join the waitlist; an account can be created only once access has been approved. By using ChronoZero you accept these terms.
1 · What the alpha is
ChronoZero is experimental planning software, developed as an independent, non-commercial project by a student in Zurich, Switzerland. There is no company behind it and no commercial register entry. It is provided free of charge, with no subscription, no payment, and no purchase of any kind during the alpha.
"Experimental" is meant literally. Expect defects, interruptions, incomplete features, and changes that may alter or reset parts of your data. What to expect in practice, and how to report a problem, is described on the support page.
2 · Eligibility and access
You must be at least 16 years old to use ChronoZero. If the law where you live requires a higher age for consenting to this kind of service, that age applies to you instead.
Access is invite-only. Anyone may join the waitlist; each request is reviewed manually, and only an approved email address can create an account, whether by Google sign-in or by setting a password. Approval is granted at the operator's discretion, may take an indefinite amount of time, and may be declined or withdrawn without a stated reason. Joining the waitlist creates no entitlement to access.
3 · Your account
Keep your credentials confidential and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity that takes place under it. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.
Provide accurate information, and only enter data you are entitled to use. Do not put other people's personal data, confidential material belonging to an employer or client, or special-category data into ChronoZero. The alpha is not designed for it.
4 · Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attack, overload, disrupt, or stress-test the service, or probe it for vulnerabilities without prior written permission;
- bypass, disable, or interfere with access controls, rate limits, or approval gates;
- access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
- scrape, bulk-extract, or automate access other than through interfaces intended for that purpose;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract model weights or other non-public components, except where mandatory law expressly permits it;
- resell, sublicense, or offer the service to third parties;
- use ChronoZero unlawfully, or in a way that infringes another person's rights.
Responsible security research is welcome when it is reported privately to [email protected] first and does not involve other people's accounts or data.
5 · No medical or professional advice
ChronoZero is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, monitor, or prevent any condition. Its estimates of cognitive state are planning aids derived from a model, not clinical measurements, and they must not be read as medical, psychological, diagnostic, employment, financial, legal, or other professional advice.
Do not rely on ChronoZero in an emergency, for safety-critical work, or for any decision where a delayed, unavailable, or incorrect recommendation could cause harm. If you are unwell, consult a qualified professional.
6 · Estimates, recommendations, and your responsibility
ChronoZero estimates a state it cannot observe directly, simulates how that state might evolve, adapts as new observations arrive, and recommends a next block. Every one of those steps can be wrong, and recommendations are offered as suggestions, never as instructions.
You may override, correct, or ignore any recommendation at any time. Your schedule, your work, your rest, and the consequences of how you arrange them remain yours. Quantitative results published on this site come from controlled simulator and production-path evaluation, not from human trials, and describe system behavior rather than any outcome promised to you.
7 · Availability and changes
The alpha is provided "as is" and "as available". There is no guaranteed uptime, no support commitment, no response-time commitment, and no guarantee that data will be preserved beyond the backup and retention practice described in the privacy notice. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the alpha may be suspended or discontinued entirely at any time.
These terms may be updated as the project develops. Material changes are published on this page before they take effect; continuing to use the alpha after that means you accept the updated version.
8 · Intellectual property and feedback
ChronoZero, including its software, models, interface, text and visual design, belongs to its operator and is protected by copyright and other rights. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the alpha, and nothing more. No rights are transferred.
Your content stays yours: the activities, schedules, and answers you enter belong to you. You grant only the permission needed to operate the service for you: storing, processing and displaying that content, and computing estimates and plans from it.
Bug reports, feedback, and suggestions may be used to improve ChronoZero without restriction, obligation, or compensation. Please do not send anything confidential as feedback.
9 · Suspension and termination
You may stop at any time and request deletion of your account from Settings. Access may be suspended or terminated if these terms are breached, if the service or other participants are put at risk, if the law requires it, or simply because the alpha is being wound down or restructured. Where circumstances reasonably allow, notice is given first so that you can export your data.
10 · Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ChronoZero and its operator accept no liability for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or damage arising from reliance on a recommendation, from unavailability of the service, or from your use of an experimental product provided free of charge.
Liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for intent and gross negligence, and any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, remains unaffected. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country of residence.
11 · Governing law and venue
These terms are governed by the substantive law of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The ordinary courts of Zurich, Switzerland have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may also be able to bring proceedings there.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
